Ed's Monthly Update - Inaugural

This is the first of monthly updates.

These start from an unforeseen event that happen on June 27, 2021. I capsized/flipped in a kayak out on Alamitos Bay in Long Beach. My strength in the 2005 LA Triathlon was swimming, so I was in no danger. A few minutes later a friend came and picked me up on his Pontoon boat. I was mostly mad because I did everything wrong and knew better. The upside is knowing that the life preserver worked and did its job. If you ever want to go kayaking, let me know, I know what not to do and what to do. Kayaking is fun.

The drive home was quite thought provoking. This was a water shed moment and I realized I have a lot more to give in life, more to offer family, more to offer clients, and more to offer friends. Today, mom’s house has a few new improvements, and more are planned. A new website filled with informational and educational information has been created and we will start sending social, educational, and informational emails to our clients. Kayaking, hiking, and Disney bounding with friends have increased exponentially.

An interesting thing happened. I do business the old-fashioned way, meet in person, listen, take notes with pen and paper, and dress in a nice three-piece suit. One day, whilst out and about a photographer asked if I could pose for a magazine’s retro edition. Well, why not? Before the publish date, the publisher asked to use one of these photos for the cover. Well, why not? By the powers that be, I became a cover model for an artsy magazine. Yes, I’m Mr. August 2021.
